Turo + Bumblebee: Rediscover the magic of cars

In our first 360 brand campaign with an entertainment partner, we wanted to flex the brand in a new way. To date, a lot of our brand campaigns had hinged on merchandising fast, spicy cars, but this partnership uncovered the opportunity to play up the emotional connection that people can have with their cars. Launching on TV in mid-November and running through the holiday season, we wanted to dial up the heart-warming, family-friendly aspect of the Turo brand and the film creative direciton to relate to a broader audience beyond our bread-and-butter gearhead fanbase.

Partnering closely with our partners at Paramount Pictures, we pitched two creative concepts, landing on this one. We wrote, casted, and creative directed the spot as the client, hiring a local production company to orchestrate the production logistics.

The campaign deliverables included a TV commercial, landing page with a curated car collection evocative of the film, email, and social media activities.

The TV commercial won a Bronze Addy award for Film/Video/Sound branded content.
